ECOdrive Training results in MPG/Miles

We strongly recommend using L/100km instead of MPG for a number of reasons:

  • Modern vehicles have Km odometers and display fuel consumption in L/100km on the dashboard
  • L/100km reduces to zero as efficiency improves, whereas MPG increases, it can be difficult to make sense of '999mpg', but 0.0L/100km is straightforward (they do mean the same thing i.e. zero fuel being consumed).
  • Most efficiency publications, report in L/100km, so its easier to make comparisons
  • Finally, when was the last time you bought fuel in gallons?  Keeping everything metric reduces errors and makes it easier to calculate fuel costs for new jobs.


However, for everyone who still thinks in old money (including ourselves on occasion), here are the results in MPG:
